WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN CLEVELAND
While moving from Boston to Cleveland might seem like an extreme change, we’re confident you’ll enjoy your new home!
With a population of just under 400,000, Cleveland is a growing city known for its sports teams, famous musicians and more! There’s plenty to see, do, eat and explore in this not-so-big, big city.
Professional Sports & Activities
Head downtown to find all of the sports arenas and games! Here you’ll find the stadiums for: the Cleveland Indians (baseball), the Cavaliers (basketball), Monsters (hockey), Browns (NFL football) and the Gladiators (AFL football).
Aside from seeing a professional game, Cleveland boasts lakeside living (Lake Erie) where you can partake in plenty of water activities. Swimming, fishing, paddleboarding, jet skiing and cruises are just a few of the many!
Cleveland gets what they call ‘lake effect snow’ in the winter, meaning you can take part in cross country skiing, sledding, downhill skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing and much more!
Eat & Drink Your Heart Out
With a diverse culture, Cleveland boasts an eclectic food scene with award winning chefs (like Michael Symon from Food Network’s Iron Chef) and a variety of ethnic food options to choose from. Typically, ‘C-town is known for its delicious Eastern European cuisine but recently, the Asian scene has really taken off. Over the last few years, the restaurant industry has really exploded with modern food trucks and chefs testing out new recipes and variations.
Cleveland isn’t just about the food, though, they take their beer scene very seriously. With over 30 breweries in the city alone (over 70 in the greater area), it is the fourth largest in the United States by number of breweries – pretty impressive for a city under 400,000! You can even pick up a ‘brewery passport’ and head around town testing out all of the beer.
